Space Assessment & Optimization Study
Client
University of Washington at Bothell
Location
Bothell, WA
Year
2022 - Present
With considerable headway accomplished on key projects outlined in its 2017 Campus Master Plan, the University of Washington at Bothell is doing the work of reevaluating its old assumptions and turning some of the big new paradigm shifts its community is experiencing into opportunities that support how and where they want to learn, study, collaborate, and engage going forward. I assisted in this study to help UW Bothell’s planning team reset its baseline planning assumptions, envision new potential futures, and re-prioritize upcoming planning, design and construction projects where it makes sense to do so. I assisted in developing engagement tools to gather qualitative and quantitative data from key stakeholders to serve as the foundational data informing spatial and organizational considerations and strategies. These efforts were complimented with research on comparable organizations and the creation of a library of frameworks to pull from. These materials were consolidated into presentations used in engagement sessions to advance conversations around key emerging opportunities and strategies. After each engagement, I produced and shared summary content to help keep the stakeholders aligned and engaged.
